Description

IFNAR2 (interferon alpha/beta receptor subunit 2) is a single-pass type I transmembrane protein belonging to the type II cytokine receptor family. IFNAR2 is a component of the receptor complex for type I interferons, including interferons alpha, IFNB1 and IFNW1. IFNAR2 (beta chain) functions in general as a heterodimer with IFNAR1 (alpha chain). Type I interferon binding activates the JAK-STAT signaling cascade, and triggers tyrosine phosphorylation of a number of proteins including JAKs, TYK2, STAT1/2 proteins and the IFNAR1 and IFNAR2 themselves.  The mutations affecting the IFNAR2 gene are associated with Immunodeficiency 45 (IMD45), an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by increased susceptibility to viral infection due to impaired antiviral immunity, resulting in infection-associated encephalopathy.

Construct Details: Full length human IFNAR2 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

 

Vector Type: pLTC or pLTC-IRES-Marker (lentiviral expression vector containing a heterologous CMV promoter +/- a selection marker, see the vector map above)

Storage

 

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months. 

 

 

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
