CCKBR (cholecystokinin type B receptor), is also known as CCK2R or GASR, belongs to the 7-transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor 1 (GPCR1) family.  CCKBR is the receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin (CCK), regulatory peptides of the brain and gastrointestinal tract. CCKBR is a type B gastrin receptor, which has a high affinity for both sulfated and non-sulfated CCK analogs.  CCKBR is found principally in the gastrointestinal tract and the central nervous system where they modulate anxiety, analgesia, arousal, and neuroleptic activity. CCKBR activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.  A misspliced transcript variant including an intron has been observed in cells from colorectal and pancreatic tumors.  The variant is constitutively activated and may regulate cancer cell proliferation via a gastrin-independent mechanism.

Construct Details: Full length human CCKBR gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

Storage

 

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months. 

 

 

 

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
