Description

PTGFRN (prostaglandin F2 receptor negative regulator) or CD315 is a 879 amino acid (aa) single pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the EWI subfamily of the Immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF). PTGFRN contains an N-terminal signal peptide, an 807-aa extracellular domain (ECD) with 6 Ig-like C2-type domains, an EWI (Glu-Trp-Ile)-motif and 9 potential glycosylation sites, a transmembrane domain (TM), and a 26 aa short cytoplasmic tail. PTGFRN interacts with tetraspanins CD9 and CD81 as well as CD63, CD82 and CD151.  PTGFRN inhibits the binding of prostaglandin F2-alpha (PGF2-alpha) to its specific FP receptor, by decreasing the receptor number rather than the affinity constant. PTGFRN is functional coupled with the prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor.

Construct Details: Full length human PTGFRN gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

Storage

 

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months. 

 

 

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
