Description

LTA (lymphotoxin alpha) or TNFB (tumor necrosis factor beta) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily (TNFSF1). LTA/TNFSF1 is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. LTA is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with LTB/TNFSF3 (lymphotoxin-beta), which anchor LTA/TNFSF1 to the cell surface. LTA/TNFSF1 also mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, is involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations in the LTA gene are associated with susceptibility to leprosy type 4, myocardial infarction, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and psoriatic arthritis.

Product Details

Gene Symbol: TNFSF1;  LTA; LT; TNFB; TNFSF-1; TNLG1E

NCBI Gene ID: 4049

Uniprot Entry: P01374

Construct Details: Full length human LTA/TNFSF1 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter -/+ an antibiotic selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles.

Vector Type: pLTC or pLTC-Marker (lentiviral expression vector containing a heterologous CMV promoter -/+ a selection marker, see the vector map above)

Formulation: Supplied with 10 μg of endotoxin-free plasmid DNA at 200 ng/μl in sterile TE buffer (pH8.0)

Primers: Gene insert coding sequence can be confirmed by following primers:

(a) forward (or 5'-end) primer: 5’-CAAATGGGCGGTAGGCGTG-3’

(b) reverse (or 3'-end) primer: 5’-CCAGGTTTCCGGGCCCTCAC-3’

Note: The sequence may vary due to the naturally occurring variants or mutations, such as single nucleotide polymorphism, or the artifact during PCR amplification.  High fidelity PCR systems should always be used.
