CCR3 (C-C chemokine receptor type 3) is a 7-transmembrane protein of the G protein-coupled receptor 1 (GPCR1) family. CCR3 acts as a receptor for C-C type chemokines. Chemokines and their receptors mediated signal transduction are critical for the recruitment of effector immune cells to the site of inflammation. The CCR3 gene and other chemokine receptor genes, including CCR1, CCRL2, CCR2, CCR5 and CCXCR1, are found to form a gene cluster on chromosome 3p. CCR3 binds and responds to a variety of chemokines, including eotaxin (CCL11), eotaxin-3 (CCL26), MCP-3 (CCL7), MCP-4 (CCL13), and RANTES (CCL5). CCR3 is highly expressed in eosinophils and basophils, and is also detected in TH1 and TH2 cells, as well as in airway epithelial cells. CCR3 may contribute to the accumulation and activation of eosinophils and other inflammatory cells in the allergic airway.CCR3 transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. CCR3 may be an alternative coreceptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection. Overexpression of CCR3 together with its ligands appears to be a characteristic of ulcerative colitis (UC).

Construct Details: Full length human CCR3 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without an antibiotic selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

Storage

 

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months. 

 

 

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
